Welcome to Pictails!

I just wanted to say welcome to the world. To give a bit of an intro to the site, Pictails is a photo blog sharing the world through the eye of my trusty iPhone and a pile of cool little iPhone apps, everything from ShakeItPhoto to Instagram.

Granted, the concept of the site isn’t really anything new or ground-breaking. There are plenty of site just like this. I got the idea from Hawk over at the Applegeeks webcomic. You can find his photo fun at his site “Daily iPhone Polaroid”. The idea of doing a one-shot-a-day site was fun and ShakeItPhoto is just 99¢ or Instagram for free, so it’s hard to go wrong there. The thing I like is that you can have piles of sites that all follow this same idea and you get a different experience on each site. It’s the photos that make it unique. Each person that take photos has different experiences. Different situations. It’s all about seeing the journey. Here, I’m going to (attempt to at least) give the world a small glimpse into a moment from each day of me. One image. Every day. I may miss a day here and there, but the gaol is to get at least one photos a day.
